People become addicts not because they’re weak, but because they’re broken.
They use things to try and fix themselves but only break themselves further, until all that’s left is a pile of pieces.
People then see these pieces and think they’re beyond hope, but the only thing that can put a person back together is people.
What addicts need is people to surround them and love them back together.
Because love can fix even the most broken of people.
This is why we must love each other.
